I want one to be controlled by user and one to move triggered by a box collider set around it.

Yes, Vehicle Physics Pro supports any number of simultaneous vehicles in a scene, either controlled by the user or by any other input (AI, triggers, script, etc).

Note that the Community Edition of Vehicle Physics Pro supports only one vehicle in the scene. Professional and Enterprise editions don't have any limitation in the number of vehicles.

aahh :( I only have the community edition. Is there anything I can do in the community edition to get another car in?

In the Community edition you may have another car in the scene as long as only one of them has its VPVehicleController component enabled. Enabling the other car requires disabling the currently active car first.
