Using Community version for better understanding of the asset.

1) When we press 'K' to start the engine; the time it takes to reach idle RPM is sufficient, but afterwards, on each gear it reaches to maximum speed and RPM with in 2-3 seconds, on giving full throttle.

2) Please suggest; from where i can change the values and increase the engine rev up time of the vehicle.

This is related to standard car setups, where the real-world parameters and techniques are also applied to simulated cars.

Some possible ways to reduce the engine rev up times when driving:

  • Decrease the engine torque curve (Engine > Torque parameters). This reduces the acceleration and top speed as well.
  • Increase the engine inertia (Engine > Inertia). This makes the engine more "sluggish" and slower to change its RPM, but may cause more wheel lock-up when switching gears.
  • Decrease the final ratio (Differential > Gear Ratio). This affects acceleration and top speed.
  • Decrease the gearbox ratios (Gearbox > Forward Gear Ratios). The effects are equivalent to decreasing the final ratio.
  • Reduce the number of gears and redistribute the ratios accordingly (Gearbox > Forward Gear Ratios). This may require adjustments in final ratio and engine RPM ranges.
